Balustrades are generally required to have a finished barrier height of at least 1000mm. Our deck mount glass panels are 970mm high, with the spigots raising the finished glass height. Please confirm the requirements for your specific project with your builder or building certifier.
What gap should I leave between glass panels?
A typical installation uses approximately 30–60mm between panels for a clean and consistent finish. The final layout must also meet the applicable requirements for your project.
Do I need a top rail or handrail?
Top rail or handrail requirements depend on the balustrade design, location, glass system and project requirements. Please confirm the required system with your builder, structural engineer or building certifier before ordering.
What standard is the toughened glass manufactured to?
Our toughened safety glass is manufactured to AS/NZS 2208:2023 Grade A for safety glazing materials in buildings. Material compliance certification can be supplied where applicable.
Do you deliver glass balustrade in Sydney?
Yes. Glass truck delivery is available across Sydney and selected surrounding areas. Pickup is also available from our Yennora warehouse.
Do you install glass balustrades?
No. Factory Glass is supply only. We supply glass panels, spigots, top rails and fittings for DIY, builder and trade installations.

Core drilling typically involves creating a 70–80mm diameter hole at a depth of 100–150mm, depending on your spigot model.
Once levels are checked, position the spigots and secure them using a non-shrink grout.
A common method is to place each spigot 200–300mm from the nearest edge of the panel.
You can also use a simple calculation: panel width ÷ 6 (e.g., a 1200mm panel ≈ 200mm).

Yes — we deliver using our own A-frame glass trucks, keeping every panel upright to minimise breakage.
This is much safer than pallet couriers, which often move glass flat and risk chipping or scratching.
