Our 970mm balustrade glass panels sit on raised spigots, adding approximately 60mm, so the final installed height exceeds the required standard.
Gaps must not allow a 100mm sphere to pass through, as per safety regulations.
Most installers prefer a 30–60mm spacing for a balanced appearance and secure installation.
Yes — a continuous top rail is required when the balustrade is located above ground level.
Ground-floor balustrades generally do not require a handrail, but upper-floor or elevated decks must include one for compliance.
Core drilling typically involves creating a 70–80mm diameter hole at a depth of 100–150mm, depending on your spigot model.
Once levels are checked, position the spigots and secure them using a non-shrink grout.
A common method is to place each spigot 200–300mm from the nearest edge of the panel.
You can also use a simple calculation: panel width ÷ 6 (e.g., a 1200mm panel ≈ 200mm).
Additional spacing rules:
- Maximum distance between spigots: 1200mm
- Panels larger than 1800mm should sit on three spigots

Yes — we deliver using our own A-frame glass trucks, keeping every panel upright to minimise breakage.
This is much safer than pallet couriers, which often move glass flat and risk chipping or scratching.

Yes. All glass panels, handrails and hardware items can be collected from our Hemmant QLD 4174 warehouse.
Please bring an appropriate vehicle and protective loading materials, as glass panels are not packed
